Welcome Faculty and Staff!
The UNT Career Center is here to assist you in helping our students and alumni succeed and also provide resources/services to you. Our office helps students and alumni explore career options, find employment while in school and prepare them for their full-time career search. This assistance is provided through individual advising sessions, seminars and classroom presentations, special events, and our online system Eagle Network.
Our office assists staff with their student employment needs and by offering training seminars on hiring and interviewing student employees and also coaching student employees to achieve their peak performance. We assist faculty in many ways such as classroom presentations, industry and employer information/contacts, and salary information.
Please review our website for information for yourself and our students and alumni at UNT.
Outstanding Student Employee Awards Program
Do you have an outstanding student employee who you would like to recognize?
It is time for the Spring 2010 Outstanding Student Employee Awards Program. This program recognizes 15 students each academic year for their outstanding performance, productivity, customer service and other initiatives that have resulted in meeting the educational and organizational goals of the University. Recipients of this award can be nominated by faculty, staff, and students of UNT and will be recognized at the Student Employee Appreciation Party on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, from 3:30pm–4:30pm, Silver Eagle Suites, University Union.A committee will evaluate all nominations. The committee members are appointed by their Vice-President. The Career Center will coordinate, monitor and provide administrative support for the awards process. The Career Center will have no voting powers.
We are now accepting nominations for recipients of the award. Nominations may be for eligible student employees within your department or from another department. Eligibility requirements are included on the nomination form. Because students will receive a trophy and a monetary award, only individual nominations will be eligible. Nominations of groups of individuals will NOT be considered.
While it is possible for more than one student to receive an award from a department, it is important that the submissions be individualized for each student, in order to determine their outstanding qualities.
