Harry Barham (He/Him) –
Graduate Assistant for Student Employment and Assessment

Hi, I’m Harry Barham (He/Him pronouns), and I’m a Graduate Assistant in Student Employment and Assessment through July 31, 2021. I am an international student from the UK and recently joined Graduate School here at the University of North Texas to study Business Analytics! I enjoy playing tennis, and my favorite TV show is Narcos.

Describe a typical workday, tasks, and what you enjoy most about your job?

Typically consists of working with data in some form related to Student Employment and the assessment efforts of the office. I also help out with our calling campaign to seniors and other tasks that need finishing to assist the Career Center in any way I can.

Describe the services you provide for UNT students.

Working with data to help make sure the Career Center is as efficient and effective as possible for the students who wish to utilize it. It can include improving outreach to Black and Latinx students as well as working with Student employment to ensure the best possible experience for our student employees.

Why do you believe students utilize the career center? What are the benefits?

I believe most students think of the Career Center as a great tool for getting a job after graduation. Whilst this is certainly true, the Career Center is so much more than that. It can range from improving the experience of student employees to help find an internship alongside your academic degree. The list of benefits and services the Career Center provides is endless!
