Corey Davidson (he, him, his) – Internship Specialist and Technology Lead

I have an English degree from UNT and have spent my career working at the University. I’ve been in the Career Center for 7 or 8 years. I’m currently one of the Internship Specialists and serve as the Technology Lead for the office aka, the Handshake guru. My favorite show I’ve watched this year is The Queen’s Gambit. Favorite of all time would either be Seinfeld or The Simpsons.

Describe a typical workday, tasks, and what you enjoy most about your job?

A typical day would be answering student emails regarding the internship process, answering Handshake related questions from students/faculty/staff, and usually something spreadsheet/data related. What I enjoy most about the job is the variety.

Describe the services you provide for UNT students.

One on one internship advising, resume reviewing, etc.

Why do you believe students utilize the career center? What are the benefits?

Students utilize the Career Center for one of two reasons: 1.) they realize they need assistance with this process, 2.) somebody tells them they need to! The benefit is that they can have a clearer understanding of what career they want to pursue and how to get there.
