Angel Rosas (he, him, his) – Student Assistant

I am a First-Generation student, majoring in Kinesiology and minoring in Spanish. I am Student Assistant at the Career Center for the 2020-2021 academic year. Fun fact, my favorite place is Breckenridge, CO.

Describe a typical workday, tasks, and what you enjoy most about your job?

Handshake Student and Job Approvals! I enjoy having the opportunity to make an impact on the UNT student body!

Describe the services you provide for UNT students.

The services I provide for UNT students are Handshake Access Approvals. It gives them access to currently posted internships and on/off-campus job opportunities. Handshake approvals consist of verifying a student, or alumni’s, authentication to the university by their student email. Upon verification, they can access multiple job opportunities and internships both on- and off-campus. The job approvals work in the same manner. They allow me to verify details in the application to make it easier and accessible for students to navigate through the jobs.

Why do you believe students utilize the Career Center? What are the benefits?

Students have the opportunity to explore internships and job opportunities not easily accessed without the help of the Career Center and our amazing staff!
