Meet Callee Buxton. Callee graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health in May of 2020. She will complete her Master of Business Administration in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management in August 2021. She is currently the Human Resources Director for The Peak Group.
We asked Callee some questions, advice for current students, and how UNT helped them to succeed and SOAR BEYOND!
When you started at UNT, what were your plans after graduation? Originally, I was a Kinesiology major and planned to go to Physician Assistant school.
What advice do you have for prospective or current students as they decide what they want their next steps to be? Be willing to give things a chance, you never know what you’ll love, that you never knew you would.
What was the most challenging interview question you have been asked? Some of the most challenging questions I have been asked are: Name some of your weaknesses. What’s something you didn’t like about your last job? Why should we hire you?
How, if applicable, did the Career Center help you? The Career Center has been helpful to me even as an alumnus. Brian Hirsch was extremely helpful in helping me get set up as an employer in Handshake so we could hire summer interns. Dan Naegli and Quortina Phipps have also written me a number of recommendation letters.
