As a transfer student, you make up almost half of the student population at UNT. But what does it mean to be a transfer student? It simply means that you’re a student who has chosen to complete their degree at a different institution than where you started. Simply put, where you started is not where you will finish! Transfer students are known to be resilient, dedicated, and mindful of what they want to achieve and how they plan to get there. Making a move from what you were accustomed to and jumping into a new school proves that. Plus, transferring to UNT is a great choice. UNT is one of the 10 Colleges That Enroll the Most Transfer Students.
As a Transfer student you made a choice to have a new environment to continue your education, so let’s start looking at a few career options. Here at the Career Center, we acknowledge that this could be a season of change and we would like to give you a few resources to help you throughout this journey. We offer all types of options from career assessments and personalized resume reviews to internships or employment options. Since you will likely only spend 2-3 years on campus, it is important that you seek out information and opportunities early in your time at UNT.
Career path exploration, resume reviews, transferable skills identification, LinkedIn profiles, cover letters, networking, and practice interviews are just a few of the resources offered to you free of charge as a UNT student or alumni!
