The Agency Habitat / Lowtown Studios Experience:

Content is the heart of everything we do. We have revolutionized the agency model to meet the modern need for agile, dynamic content creation.  As part of the Agency Habitat and Lowtown Studios team, the Motion Design Intern will be responsible for designing and animating for a variety of digital projects and video content assignments, including social feed content, sizzle reel videos, and other branded experiences. The Motion Design Intern may have the opportunity to partner with our art directors, content creators, photographers, videographers and set stylists to help produce content that is on brand and on strategy without creative compromise. It’s crucial for this role to have 2D motion design knowledge, excellent communication skills, and to collaborate with different teams and departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with creative directors, art directors, copywriters, and other motion designers to design and animate motion graphics for digital and social
  • Design for platform-specific content like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.
  • Revise and adapt existing graphics and motion graphic assets to new requirements
  • Follow department file structures, naming, and processes
  • Ensure all deliverables are accurate, on time, and routed through the appropriate departments for approval

 

Knowledge and Skill Set Requirements:

 

  •  Portfolio Required: Must submit an online portfolio showcasing your creative work
  • Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Cinema 4D and Redshift knowledge is a plus
  • Basic video editing and sound design is a plus
  • Ability to build storyboards
  • Willingness to learn new skills and software
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other multi-disciplinary creatives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to receive art direction
  • Implement feedback, ask thorough questions and execute quickly
  • An open mind and positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently
  • Have some personality, otherwise AI will take all our jobs

Qualifications:

  • Portfolio Required: Must submit an online portfolio showcasing your creative work
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Motion Design, Animation, Graphic Design, or related fields) preferred
  • Work Experience: 1+ year of motion design experience; agency experience preferred
  • Work Requirements: Minimum of 24-29 hours per week in our office @ $12/hour. Occasional schedule shifts and travel may be required. May work some odd hours

Relationships:

  • Reports to: Vice President of Interactive Media and/or their appointees
  • External Relationships: Clients and Vendors

  • Fort Worth, TX
