The Sports Camp Coordinator engages and supervises groups of children ages 10-15 years in a variety of sports activities and ensures that they have a positive, enjoyable, and safe experience in these group activities. Responsible for creating lesson plans, and attendance forms and organizing all other required paperwork. Also responsible for maintaining effective discipline and safety procedures during activities and while transporting children in City of Plano vehicles to and from program activities.
- Designs and conducts a beginner one-week sports program for pre-teens and teenaged children.
- Organizes, instructs, and supervises children while they engage in group and individual sports activities.
- Transports sports campers to and from sports facilities.
- Contacts parents via phone and email related to camp schedule and other requirements.
- Responsible for ordering and maintenance of necessary equipment.
- Responsible for lesson plans, attendance forms and any other required paperwork.
- Maintains effective discipline and safety procedures during activities and while transporting children in City vehicles to and from program activities.
- Monitors daily program expenses and prepares expense reports. Manages forms and money related to camp activities.
- Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work schedule is essential.
- Performs other related duties as directed and/or required.
