Participates in a cross-functional team to develop new products
Develops new components, products using Computer Aided Design and Drafting System
Handles product change requests (PCR’s) by modifying current product design
Maintains engineering documentation
Develop special designs to meet special customer requests and provide the essential supporting calculations
Check completed work assigned to drafting personnel
Prepare Bills of Material (BOM) and provide purchasing department with specifications for ordering raw materials required for fabrication
Interface with Shop personnel during fabrication and testing to insure product compliance with design formation and delivery requirements.
Salary Estimated: $61,000 – $80,000 a year
Skills and Experience
Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering
1-4 years experience
Requires excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
Must be a decision maker who can work under minimum supervision
Must be a team player – open-minded and flexible
Ability to generate creative solutions to problems and work in a fast paced environment which requires multi-tasking capability
