Salary: $16.50-$17,00 per hour

Work Summary:

The Frank Lloyd Wright Trust Education Department is looking for an intern for an 8-week program at Wright’s iconic Home and Studio. In this internship, you’ll be working closely with the Trust’s education department giving tours to K-12 audiences, assisting with our Summer Camp programming, creating your own unique project with education staff assistance, and helping the education staff with daily duties.

Dates: 8-weeks – TBD
Hours: 15 hours per week

Duties:

  1. Assist with our summer camp program, In Wright’s Studio
    1. Includes being able to attend two weeks of programming the week of July 7-11 and July 21- 25, 2025. Camp is held between 8:30 am-11:30 am M-F at the Home and Studio.
    2. Includes assisting with camp content creation, set up and tear down, and teaching duties during the events
  2. Create your own unique project or presentation.
    1. Utilizing the materials and resources provided by the Trust, you’ll have the opportunity create a unique project (whether that be a tour, research paper, lesson plan, artwork etc.) during your time here at the Trust. Education staff will assist you with your unique vision.
  3. Learn our standard K-12 interpretive tour of the Home and Studio to assist with potential tours during your time with us.
  4. Work with staff on ongoing education projects for the future
    1. Assist with content creation and research for upcoming events
    2. Work on cataloging and organizing the office and previous projects
  5. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate working on a degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Museum Studies, or Education (General or Arts)
  • Experience working with K-8 audiences is highly recommended
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working closely with a diverse public
  • Must have superb organization skills and be able to self-manage and collaborate
  • Knowledge of InDesign or Adobe Suite is preferred

Environment:

Position requires frequent and regular computer and phone use, public speaking, long periods of standing. The workplace is a smoke- and drug-free environment. Equal opportunity employer.
