Conduct routine human resources assignments for the HR department under close supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
§ Audits existing job descriptions for compliance with internal procedures
§ Revise existing job descriptions for formatting issues and assist in the review with applicable manager for compliance purposes
§ Assists in writing new job descriptions
§ Researches jobs in compensation surveys, internet, and internally as needed
§ Assists in internal meetings and event planning for corporate initiatives which may include but are not limited to American Heart Association, safety meetings, meet and greets
§ Assists with employee personnel file audit and compliance
§ Assists in recruitment activities and coordination which may include meeting compliance requirements
§ Attends various functional HR. meetings and conference calls
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
Some completed courses needed for a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field with a concentration in the Human Resources field, are required.
Ability to apply intermediate level clerical and data entry assignments based on pre-established guidelines. Basic knowledge of human resource management principles and practices, and administrative procedures; proficient with word processing, database, e-mail and spreadsheet applications skills; the ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication; detail oriented; ability to collect, review and organize personnel-related data; ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; intermediate reading and writing skills.
Job conditions require sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 5 lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 5 lbs, and climbing up to 2ft, and perceiving color differences. Job conditions may require standing, walking.
