iCode computer science programs offer kids the opportunity to build soft skills and strengthen their academic skills; with program options that fit their lifestyle and schedule.
General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Guide and teach students in developing programming projects
- Provide weekly reports and feedback about students’ progress
- Provide on-site technical support
- Follow the provided curriculum guidelines
- Maintain a healthy and safe classroom environment
- Keep students on task and guide them as needed during project stages
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience with programming languages such as Scratch (MIT), HTML/CSS, Java, Python, C++
- Familiar with game development and design concepts
- Ability to work with children ranging from K-12
- Familiar with MacOS
- Strong problem–solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to establish priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Being able to perform well under pressure
- Flexibility to work during early evenings and weekend hours
