Performs administrative and supervisory work related to the management of a specialized unit; usually reports to a Director. Responsibilities encompass the coordination of activities involved in the management of the unit or support services. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on attainment of established goals; may be responsible for supervision of all employees assigned to the unit of responsibility.

Medicine’s morning reports.
Mainly involves promoting a
library resource or database as
well as assisting with research on

Minimum Hire Rate
Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm
Masters degree from an ALA accredited program. Demonstrates knowledge of ALA Core Competencies and Code of
Ethics plus Library Bill of Rights. Enjoys working with diverse population. Able to work independently, as well as with
people. Able to anticipate problems, and be able to solve problems on a day-to-day basis. Excellent oral and
communication skills are essential. Able to be respectful of differences, and have the ability to see problems from a
variety of perspectives. Must be able to perform to the highest degree of standards. Organization and detailed-minded orientation is necessary.
Computer literate, and the ability to manage people and projects. Also, have a basic knowledge of medical/health
informatics. In addition, have experience with 3D printing and scanning, plus related software.
