This position will work closely with the Union Arts Coordinator and Chair of the Fine Arts Series to assist with both the Mary Jo & V. Lane Rawlins Fine Arts Series, a campus-wide performing arts series (8-12 large scale, big budget events per year), and Union Arts programming (18-25 events per semester). Your major responsibilities include:
– assist with operations related to the Union Art Gallery such as installation, deinstallation (sand/spackle/touch-up paint), and gallery-sitting for receptions. Help with marketing and social media for art related events. Organize and catalogue the Union Art Collection housed in the Gallery Storage. Maintain and organize tools and equipment in Gallery Storage.
-set up, assist instructor, and clean up at Union Art Workshop events
-perform other event management duties related to Fine Arts Series, Union Art Workshops, and Arthouse Film Series, such as helping with set up and swiping student IDs.

Special Qualifications: Must be detail oriented, responsible and dependable. Major in Art/Art History is preferred. Familiarity with procedures and tools related to gallery maintenance and installation/deinstallation of artworks is a plus.
