About Mean Green Productions:
Mean Green Productions is the video production arm of the UNT Athletic department. MGP employs the student Game Day Video Crew to produce live productions of our home sporting events. Sports we cover include, but are not limited to Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, and Softball. The production will be broadcasted on video boards, as well as streamed to various online platforms including ESPN3, ESPN+, and CUSA.tv.
This position will be part of our student crew that reports directly to the Director of Broadcast Media. Within the crew, there are a variety of roles available including Camera Operator, Instant Replay, Graphics, Audio, Play by Play (on camera), Utility (cable pullers), Production Assistant, and Director. Each member of the student crew will have a primary and secondary role that will be re-assessed every semester based on interests and skill level. Crew members will get the opportunity to learn sports and live production in a hands on environment.
· Must be available to work weekends and evenings
· Ability to work outside for long periods of time
· Willingness to work in a team and receive instruction and feedback on performance
· Basic understanding of the rules of football and basketball
· Knowledge of broadcast quality cameras
· Knowledge of proper cable coiling techniques and care of video equipment
· Experience in live production or studio production is a plus
· Knowledge of video and film style productions is a plus
