The Supplemental Instruction Program is looking for an experienced Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader with a strong grasp of facilitating effective SI sessions, who shows proficiency in peer-observations and mentoring/training new SI Leaders. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for student success and enthusiasm for education.
YOU MUST HAVE BEEN A UNT SI LEADER FOR A MINIMUM OF ONE SEMESTER TO QUALIFY.
MUST have at least a 3.0 overall GPA and be in good standing with the University. The Senior Supplemental Instruction Leader will conduct the base duties of the Supplemental Instruction Leader position. Applicants will facilitate bi-weekly small group meetings and provide relevant peer-mentoring for SI Leaders. The Senior SI Leader will observe SI Leaders weekly sessions and assist in leading pre-semester training. Applicants will attend leadership meetings and perform other various administrative duties as assigned by the program coordinators. The total hours worked by Senior SI Leaders will not exceed 20 hours per week (10 hours of SI, 10 hours of Senior Leader work).
