About this Job
Responsible for the daily operation of the University Union Syndicate venue. Manage the distribution of Union equipment, console gaming stations and billiards equipment. Monitor guests to ensure equipment is being used in an appropriate manner and prevent damage from happening to the Syndicate. Ensure that space is clean and furniture is arranged appropriately. Oversee the sports content that is being shown on televisions and accommodate requests for channels to be changed as appropriate. Support events being held within the Syndicate. Uphold strong customer service standards for dress, guest interactions, facility management and expedient customer response. Support emergency response processes as needed by the building manager in regards to the space. Attend required student employee staff development meetings/programs.
Must be customer service oriented, responsible and dependable. This position requires that the employee is able to hold guests of the Syndicate accountable when utilizing the space so must be able to communicate effectively. Must show a desire to learn and attention to detail. Shifts are available seven days a week. Must be able to work late-night shifts as well as shifts on weekends. Preference will be given to applicants who can work over the summer and through the Fall.
