David Bekker

David Bekker is a Career Coach and supports students at the College of Engineering (CENG) at UNT Discovery Park.
David earned an M.Ed. in Counseling from The University of North Texas (UNT) and a B.A in Radio Television, and Film from UNT. He has an extensive history of helping UNT students reach their academic and career goals. He has been an Academic Counselor for The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Senior Academic Counselor for UNT Athletics Student Services, and an Academic Counselor for The College of Engineering. David is dedicated in helping UNT students identify their academic and career goals and providing extensive options and pathways to meet these goals. David has been described as a creative, motivational, and caring.
His office is located in Discovery Park, 2nd floor, Room E202-B.

Laura Garza
Associate Director for STEM, Career Coach for Biology, Ecology and Math Majors
Laura Garza is a Career Coach and supports students at the College of Engineering (CENG) at UNT Discovery Park.
Laura earned an M.S. in Counseling from Troy University and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Maryland. She also earned a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity-Threat Detection through Webster University in 2017. Laura enjoys helping UNT students explore their majors and potential career paths which line up with their natural preferences. When she is not at UNT, she loves traveling. The best piece of advice she received was “Luck favors the prepared.” She has been described as a listener, creative, resourceful.

Chido Kwande is a Career Coach and supports the College of Engineering (CENG) at UNT Discovery Park. Chido earned a bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of Zimbabwe. She practiced Law for over 10 years in the corporate, real estate and civil areas.
Prior to joining the Career Center, Chido worked in the Computer Science Department holding various positions as Office Associate, Administrative Specialist and Snr Administrative Specialist. In all these positions Chido had the pleasure to guide and support students in their UNT academic journey’s. Chido is focused on student success and ensuring students realize their career goals.
When she is not at UNT, she likes to host events, spend time with her family and try new recipes.
Brittney Sosa

Brittney Sosa is a Career Coach and supports the students at the College of Engineering at UNT Discovery Park.
Brittney earned an M.S. in Digital Communication Analytics from the Mayborn School of Journalism at the University of North Texas. She has also earned a B.A. in English with a minor in Technical Writing from University of North Texas. She has previously served as the Graduate Coordinator and Advisor for the Department of Psychology at UNT. Brittney is committed to serving students and helping them find solutions that lead to their success in college and beyond.
