Meet the Student Employment and Front Desk Team

LeAndra DiNicola is the Student Employment Coordinator. LeAndra earned a B.B.A. from Northwood University. She likes helping UNT students because they are the reason faculty and staff are here and she believes in providing excellent customer service to the entire UNT community.  In fact, having a student come in discouraged by the job search process and being able to help them locate, apply and land an on-campus position makes her day! When she is not at UNT, she is often gardening, reading, spending time with family, and her many rescue pets. The best piece of advice she received was, “Do the job you have now to the best of your ability. Always have pride in a job well done no matter how big or small.” She has been described as short, sassy, and customer-service oriented.

Karla Perez is the Career Services Coordinator. She looks over the front desk students and works with the Student Employment team. Karla is a UNT Alumni; she earned a B.S. in Business Computer Information Systems and M.S. in Advanced Data Analytics. Karla has previous experience working at the Career Center as one of the Student Employment Assistants before transitioning to her current role. She loves to help students and supervisors with the on campus hiring process. When she is not at UNT, she is reading, baking, playing video games, and playing with her pets.

Hi, my name is Kaden Alexander, and I am a student assistant at the career center. I am a mechanical engineering student and my hobbies include drawing, video games, and watching anime. Post-college I would like to use my degree to make advancements in the world of engineering. A fun fact about me is that I’m the other twin.

Hello, my name is Karalyn Alexander. I am majoring in Psychology with a minor in Management here at the University of North Texas. My plan for the future is to work in Human Resources. Some of my hobbies include listening to music, hanging out with friends, playing animal crossing, and watching movies. A fun fact about me is that I’m a twin.

Hello, my name is Israel Awoyomi, I’m a Computer Science major with a minor in Psychology. Some of my hobbies include working out, listening to music, and reading.

Hello, my name is Mia Cedillo. I am currently a Freshman, majoring in Psychology here at the University of North Texas. My hobbies include watching horror films, drawing, singing, and learning about mythology and folktales. My plans for the future is to become a Clinical Psychiatrist and to one day open my own practice. A fun fact about me in that I have a really mixed heritage.

Dedicated student pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice at the University of North Texas, building foundational knowledge in courses towards the criminal justice field. Fun facts about me: I love to write, draw, and play video games.

Hi, my name is Asia, and I’m majoring in Psychology with a minor in English here at the University of North Texas. I want to apply my work to either behavioral psychology or administrative services. I love traveling, video games, reading, and finding new music during my free time, as well as discovering new media.

I am a passionate, service-oriented leader whose volunteer and internship experiences have strengthened my commitment to community support and student success. With strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills, I strive to help others overcome obstacles and grow through collaboration.

Hello! My name is Ivan I work as a Front Desk Student Assistant the University of North Texas front desk team, and I am currently a marketing major. Some of my interest includes playing sports, eating, reading, and occasionally playing video games. When I’m older I plan to explore marketing and to improve my current knowledge upon it.

Hi, my name is Kendall Sallier. I am currently a sophomore here at the University of North Texas majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in psychology. I am honored to be able to experience working as a student employment assistant with the best team here at the Career Center. I grew up in Wylie, Texas which is a small town about an hour away from the campus. Some things I enjoy doing in my free time is watching movies, shopping, or doing something active. I enjoy meeting all the new faces that walk into the career center and can’t wait to grow this school year. Come into the career center and get the help you’re looking for and that we provide! Hi my name is Sarah Ytuarte. I am a sophomore majoring in Media Arts with a minor in Public Relations here at the University of North Texas. My plans are to work with local communities and businesses to help project different projects, events, and advertisements to the bigger cities with the knowledge I obtain through UNT and my own talents. Some of my hobbies include listening to varieties of music, thrifting, taking pictures and videos of nature and my surroundings, and hanging out with my friends. Fun fact, I am a part of the UNT powerlifting team.
