I have plans of attending law school after college and becoming a corporate attorney. I am a first-generation Hispanic student with interests in building miniature houses, crocheting, scrapbooking, and reading. I am excited to be part of the peer mentor team! Hello, I am Srikar Kanthala, one of the Career Readiness Peer Mentors at the UNT Career Center. I am currently getting my Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Data Science and minoring in Cybersecurity. Outside of the Career Center, I have also worked as Summer Bridge Peer Leader for TSI, History SI for the Learning Center, and as a Cybersecurity Research Assistant at Discovery Park. I take a lot of passion in helping students especially when they’re clueless about the job searching process and the effort that goes into it. Some of my hobbies include socializing and playing/watching sports.

Hey guys! I am Abhishek Kumar (Abhi), a junior studying Computer Science with an interest in User Experience design (UX). Outside work and school, I enjoy creating videos, cooking, martial arts, and reading. Currently, I’m reading Meditations by Marcus Aurelius and Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. My name is Sai Vivek Mallela, a sophomore majoring in computer science. I am an international student from India. My hobbies are going on a long drive, enjoying the sunset, cycling in the evening and interior designing. I also enjoy problem solving and coding. Fun fact, I want to be a rally racer because I love racing at high speeds. I am really excited to help students with their questions about their major and career.

Hello! I am Jasmin Flores. I am a junior majoring in international studies in Latin America, specializing in diplomacy and security. I also have a Peace and legal studies certificate with a Spanish minor.  I am interested in going to law school after my undergrad. I am very excited to help students with their development in their field of interest. My main field of interest is politics, law, and humanitarian help. I would be more than welcome to help students interested in any of these fields. If they aren’t interested in these fields, I would love to research their interest so I can be of use.

I have also been a Peer Mentor for the Second Year Seminar for almost a year. What I love most about this position is helping students discover new paths and strategies to get to their end goal after college. Remember you deserve to be here, and you have worked so hard; you do not have to walk through college life alone!

My name is Brian Sanders, and I am a Doctorate student in Music Theory/Ethnomusicology at UNT. I am a first-generation college graduate and will begin my dissertation in Fall 2025. I am also the President of GAMuT (Graduate Association of Musicology und Music Theory) at UNT College of Music.  Some of my hobbies include camping/hiking, woodworking, basketball/golf/disc golf, and musical performance. I am excited to be a part of the UNT Peer Mentor team. I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you and helping you during this crucial phase in your career journey!  

Dean is a psychology- and philosophy-major, hailing from the east coast of South Africa, who is serving as career-readiness-peer-mentor for the UCAR 2000z-Course. He is determined to serve as both resource and guide to students desiring preparation for introduction in the employment sphere. In order to facilitate this, Dean draws on his years of academic mentoring, exposure to professional and corporate communications training, as well as his practically acquired knowledge of the employment process. Additionally, his philanthropical mentoring endeavors in impoverished towns throughout South Africa have exposed him to diverse and challenging settings, thus asserting communication, the honing of employable skills, and the effectiveness of human connection as the penultimate of his modus operandi and general teleology. These Maxims are reinforced by Dean’s pursuit of language, currently fluent in English and Afrikaans (Dutch) while being cognitive in German. In vacant time, Dean can be found reading Kantian Transcendentalism, writing short provocative pieces or hiking the local terrains

Hello! My name is Jarvis Williams, I am a senior majoring in Marketing and Finance here at UNT. I was born and raised in Texas, and I am from a small city called Ennis. I have an interest in anything sports related, mainly football and basketball since I grew up playing those two. I am also a big believer in helping others because the reason I am where I am today is because others helped me. So I hope to be able to return the favor and be a valuable resource to whomever I encounter along my journey.
