As UNT alum, you are welcome to continue using the services and resources of the UNT Career Center for free. This is a lifetime service to you as a graduate of UNT. You are able to access the same services as any currently enrolled student. We are here to assist you whether just starting your job search or are thinking about a career change. Your connection to UNT does not have to end just because you graduated.

The University of North Texas Career Center, in collaboration with NT Exes, announces new Alumni Career Services.

Through its alumni career services, the UNT Career Center, in collaboration with NT Exes, intends to facilitate career-development, mentoring, and recruiting opportunities for UNT alumni by designing, developing, and implementing service and communication systems available to all UNT alumni.

The UNT Career Center's services to alumni include:

Career Advising (e.g., consulting and/or coaching on topics such as professional development, work-place communication, conflict management, career transitions, career research, resume preparation, networking, interview preparation, negotiation, etc.)

Seminars followed by Alumni Networking (Please register through the Eagle Network.*)

* To sign up for an individual appointment, group advising or an alumni career-service event, please access your Eagle Network account, or call (940)565-2105 and request an Eagle Network token, with which you will be able to view and/or register for any Career Center event or service, including all alumni career services.

The UNT Career Center introduces its new Associate Director of Employer Relations & Alumni Services:

Daniel Pascoe Aguilar, Associate Director

Daniel Pascoe Aguilar began his appointment as Associate Director of the UNT Career Center on October 8 of 2007. Daniel arrived from Indiana University, where he functioned as Senior Associate Director & Chair of Career Courses at the IU Career Development Center and Arts & Sciences Career Services. At IU, Daniel also completed his second master's degree and remains a Ph.D. Candidate in its Instructional Systems Technology department.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in Mexico City, a Master of Divinity from the Palmer Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in Education from Indiana University, in Bloomington. He is currently writing his dissertation for a Ph.D. degree about the effects of personality type on the team performance of leadership teams. His program includes a concentration in Management and Organizational Behavior, and a minor in Counseling.

Prior to his tenure at IU, Daniel worked for a decade as Youth, Pastoral, and Senior Minister in diverse religious organizations, where he counseled, taught and ministered among a diversity of individuals, families, and communities. After that, Daniel worked for five years as Program Director of Connecting Point, a crisis center for homeless families in San Francisco, CA, where he managed a team of counselors and facilitated San Francisco's centralized family-shelter placements and other emergency referrals.

As Senior Associate Director of Student Services of the IU Career Development Center and Arts & Sciences Career Services, Daniel chaired and instructed career development courses for the College of Arts and Sciences, oversaw the Center's Peer Advising Program, and provided undergraduate and graduate students with career advising and counseling. As Associate Director of Employer Relations & Alumni Services of the UNT Career Center, Daniel leads the Center's Employer Relations Team as well as its career services to UNT alumni.

Daniel is a qualified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, the Strong Interest Inventory®, and other CPP psychometric measurement instruments. He is also certified by The Career Planning and Adult Development Network as a Job and Career Transitions Coach, and by the Instituto Anglo-Mexicano de Cultura as a Teacher of English as a Second Language. Daniel has recently published book chapters and an independent study course on the topics of Career Interests, Personality Preferences, Career Development, and Systems Theory.
