Career Fairs and Networking Events
Each fall and spring the Career Center offers industry specific networking events and larger major career fairs. Here, companies have the opportunity to make connections with students and alumni in a variety of formats that meet the needs of their organization. You can access our calendar of upcoming Career Fairs and Networking Events to see what we have scheduled and begin planning your next recruiting event.
Handshake
Handshake is the recruiting management system where employers can post jobs or internships, schedule on-campus interviews, and post events for UNT students and alumni. Payments for career fairs and events are also made through Handshake. In case you need it, we’ve given you access to the UNT W-9.
On-Campus Interviews
Recruiting on-campus in one of the Career Center’s 23 interview suites is an effective way to gain visibility and recruit superior talent for your organization. Learn more about On-Campus Interviews at UNT.
Student Organizations
Connect and get involved with one or more of the approximately 450 academic and social student organizations at UNT. We can connect you with specific club officers and/or the student organization’s full time staff advisor. Many organizations offer employers the opportunity to speak at general meetings and/or with club officers throughout the academic year. This is a list of all Student Organizations at UNT in case you’d like to see the available organizations. If you need assistance connecting with a student organization, contact the Career Center.
Speaking Opportunities
Our Career Center has relationships with faculty across campus that often welcome employer speakers to their classes to speak on particular industry topics.
Micro-Internships
Through a partnership with Parker Dewey, UNT helps employers build a virtual presence and connect with students in a mutually beneficial and meaningful way. The program provides students and recent graduates the opportunity to complete short-term, paid, professional assignments in a completely virtual setting. Micro-internships provide employers with the same benefits as traditional internships, but the projects are much shorter (typically 5 to 40 hours). Learn more About Micro-Internships.
Videos
Several of the employers who recruit at UNT have created videos to facilitate their connection with UNT students and alumni using a computer and software you likely already have. Once produced, we can post the video on the Career Center website to help students and alumni learn more about you and your organization. In order for us to post it, please use the Employer Guidelines for Creating Videos to produce the video. If you need some ideas, a few examples of videos produced by employers are included in the guidelines.
