Associate Director for Employer Services
Amy Ferman is the Associate Director for Employer Services. She earned an M.Ed. in Higher Education from the University of North Texas (Go Mean Green!) and a B.A. in Communications from Stephen F. Austin State University. She has worked for UNT for 25 years and previously worked in the Registrar’s Office and the College of Business Academic Advising Office.
Events and Employer Services Coordinator
Lex Alexander is the Coordinator for Events and Employer Services at the UNT Career Center. She is a UNT Alumni, having earned a Bachelor’s in English: Creative Writing, with minors in Philosophy and History. Prior to this position, Lex worked in leadership as a manager and instructor in various environments, working to be a pillar of support for every individual under her supervision. Lex was called back to UNT with a passion to contribute to higher education and to provide students with the same care she received from the university during her undergrad years.
Outside of work, Lex spends her time working on creative projects, raising two mischievous cats, and always remaining curious. She also engages in activist spaces for human rights and LGBTQ+ through fostering community, writing poetry, and spreading awareness of causes via social media.

Assistant Director, Events & Employer Services
I’m a proud UNT alum with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism, and Management. My journey began at the Embassy Suites Denton Convention Center, where I completed my internship and spent four years growing into leadership roles, ultimately serving as an Assistant Operations and Events Manager. In that time, I honed my skills in leadership, supervision, and executing a wide variety of corporate and social events—often managing multiple events at once. Those experiences inspired me to return to UNT, where I now focus on employer events and helping students connect with their future careers. I know firsthand how challenging that transition can be, and I’m passionate about supporting them along the way.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking dishes from different cuisines, staying active through fitness, traveling, spending time with my pets, and making memories with friends.
Assistant Director, Technology & Experiential Programs
Corey Davidson is the Assistant Director, Technology & Experiential Programs for the UNT Career Center. He supports students in the following Colleges: Liberal Arts and Social Sciences – Mass Communications Majors (Communication Studies, Media Arts, Converged Broadcast Media, Professional Technical Communications, and Dance & Theatre); Mayborn School of Journalism; Music; Visual Arts and Design. Corey earned a B.A. in English from the University of North Texas. He likes helping UNT students because so many students come into the office stressed and overwhelmed by the thought of trying to plan their careers. He loves being able to help them break down the process and remove some of that stress. When he is not at UNT, he enjoys spending time with family, reading books, drinking coffee, playing and listening to music, and drinking more coffee. The best piece of advice he received was, “Pursue what you are passionate about.” He has been described as a context seeker who works from intellection and a place of humor whenever possible. Internship Specialist
Jazmyne Dixson is Internship Specialist here at UNT in the Career Center. She supports students in the Colleges of Education, Merchandising, Hospitality & Tourism, Information, Engineering, and Science. She is a UNT Alumni, receiving both her Bachelors and Masters in Recreation, Event, & Sport Management. Jazmyne has served in various roles on campus and loves to attend Mean Green Athletics events. As a former UNT student, she is extremely passionate about assisting our students in reaching their professional and personal goals by connecting them with jobs, internships, and mentors that allows them to have impactful experiences to learn and grow from. Jazmyne hopes to connect student, faculty and staff on campus and continue to serve the amazing campus that once served her #GoMeanGreen
Internship Specialist
James Grandfield is an Internship Specialist at the UNT Career Center. He is an alum and earned his Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) with a focus on Organizations and Supervision in 2022 after working over 30 years in the Restaurant and Hospitality industry. While a student at UNT, James enjoyed working in two internships, and he had the opportunity to do a service-learning project with local non-profit charities. James is passionate about helping to facilitate creative and experiential learning opportunities for students.
When not at work, James enjoys getting out into nature and experiencing its beauty. His three cats help him stay grounded, and they remind him every day that we all need each other to thrive and be happy. He also rides a motorcycle to UNT every day.
James’ best piece of career advice for students comes from U.S. General and Secretary of State, Colin Powell, “Never let your ego get so close to your position that when your position goes, your ego goes with it.”
