Employers will list their hiring preferences through Handshake, so you can view the list of employers to see who is hiring (link to the guide). However, we recommend that international students become familiar with the CPT/OPT sponsorship process to help communicate this when networking with employers, by practicing how you are networking when speaking to employers to show that you have researched and/or know of opportunities. UNT recognizes that some employers cannot hire international students. However, due to the large international population of our student body, we will always encourage employers to consider the benefits of widening your applicant pool by including international students. UNT has an International Student and Scholar Services office that can be a helpful partner in educating students through this complicated process.
